National Security Fellows Program

National Security Fellows Program

The MIT Security Studies Program began hosting in the 1990s U.S. military officers earning war college credit as visiting fellows. Each academic year SSP welcomes one serving member of the United States Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps, and two serving members of the Army to participate in classes, and offer their unique expertise to our students. One of the Army Fellows divides their time between SSP and the Lincoln Laboratory. Their input is invaluable in seminars and classrooms alike. During the year the Fellows give presentations during IAP and often host speakers for special seminars. The Fellows also are instrumental in planning a yearly field trip to visit military installations for the SSP students.
