Lieutenant Colonel, US Air Force

Lt Col Kristen DeWilde commissioned through AFROTC in May 2005 prior to going to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) for Medical School. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Eglin Air Force Base became an Air Force Flight Surgeon. She served multiple operational flight surgeon roles, including Squadron Medical Element and Chief of Aerospace Medicine. She is a graduate of the Air Force Blue Horizons program and served as the Senior Medical Strategist for Headquarters A5. Prior to coming to MIT/Lincoln Lab, Lt Col DeWilde was the commander of the 559 Aerospace Medicine Squadron.

Lt Col DeWilde holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from St. Lawrence University as well as Doctor of Medicine Degree from USUHS. She also has a Master’s Degree in Technology and Airpower Integration from Air University. She is married to Lt Col Georges “Huck” De Wilde and they have one son, Wyatt.
