I am delighted to announce that Laura Kerwin has been promoted to Associate Director of the MIT Security Studies Program! This promotion recognizes her dedication, hard work, and outstanding contributions during a period of unprecedented—and ongoing—growth for SSP.

Since joining the program in June 2022, Laura has been instrumental in creating the foundation for SSP’s future, consistently going above and beyond in each and every challenge she confronts. She has also assumed increasing responsibilities within the program, playing a critical role in establishing the Wargaming Lab and now the new Center for Nuclear Security Policy, all while leading the growth of the program’s administrative team. This promotion reflects her exceptional talents and commitment to SSP’s success.
