SSP PhD candidates Nicholas Blanchette, Wenyan Deng and Raymond Wang were awarded 2022 World Politics and Statecraft Fellowships by the Smith Richardson Foundation.

The Smith Richardson Foundation sponsors this annual grant competition to "support PhD dissertation research on American foreign policy, international relations, international security, strategic studies, area studies and diplomatic and military history. 

 

 

 

PhD candidates Nicholas Blanchette, Wenyan Deng and Raymond Wang have been selected for 2022 World Politics and Statecraft Fellowships by the Smith Richardson Foundation, Inc. for PhD dissertation research on:

  • "Fog Machines: State Strategies of Advanced Military Capability Signaling" (Nicholas Blanchette)
  • "Trade Policy Among Authoritarian Regimes" (Wenyan Deng)
  • "Building a New Stove: Rising Power Strategies of Shaping International Order" (Raymond Wang)
