On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, Kelebogile Zvobgo (Provost's Fellow in the Social Sciences at the University of Southern California and incoming Assistant Professor of Government at William & Mary) gave a talk titled “Do Americans Support War Crimes Prosecutions?”

This week, faculty, students and more gathered virtually just past noon to hear to Kelebogile Zvobgo (Provost's Fellow in the Social Sciences at the University of Southern California and incoming Assistant Professor of Government at William & Mary) discuss “Do Americans Support War Crimes Prosecutions?” Zvobgo spoke about American perceptions and opinions of war crimes prosecutions and the International Criminal Court, as well as how those perceptions and foreign policy efforts factored into the pre-existing Afghanistan investigation. The talk was streamed live on MIT SSP’s YouTube channel, and a lively Q&A with the audience followed.

The next Wednesday Seminar (to be held on 5/5), features Emily Meierding, Assistant Professor of National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School. Meierding will present: “Oil Wars: Facts and Fictions.”
