The Carnegie Foundation of New York has awarded M. Taylor Fravel as the Andrew Carnegie Fellow for the 2016-17 academic year. This award supports research and writing on challenges for U.S. democracy and international order and is awarded to scholars in the social sciences and humanities. During his fellowship, Fravel will begin a new project focused on maritime disputes in Asia. The award, worth up to $200,000 will allow Fravel to focus on presenting management tools to help prevent future conflict.
