Speaker:

Joshua Yaffa, a Moscow correspondent for The New Yorker and the author of “Between Two Fires: Truth, Ambition, and Compromise in Putin’s Russia.” He is currently in Ukraine covering the invasion and will be joining us virtually from the war zone.

Co-chairs:

Carol Saivetz, a senior advisor in the MIT Security Studies Program. She is the author and contributing co-editor of books and articles on Soviet and now Russian foreign policy issues.

Elizabeth Wood, professor of history at MIT. She is the author most recently of Roots of Russia’s War in Ukraine. She is co-director of the MISTI MIT Russia Program, coordinator of Russian studies, and adviser to the Russian Language Program.
