LTC Peter Lawrence Rangel was commissioned as a second lieutenant through the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School at Ft. Benning, GA in 2001. His most recent assignment was Battalion (BN) Commander for the Technical Services Battalion (MI) BN, U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command, Ft. Meade, MD. He has served with U.S European Command J2X, Stuttgart, Germany; U.S. Army Africa, Wiesbaden, Germany; 201st MI BN, Ft. Sam Houston, TX; 470th MI Brigade, Ft. Sam, TX; Bravo Company, 308th MI BN, Redstone Arsenal, AL; 308th MI BN, Ft. Meade, MD; and 519th Military Police (MP) BN, Ft. Polk, LA. His deployments include Afghanistan (2012 and 2008) and Iraq (2003). He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from St. Edward’s University, Austin, TX in 1994 and a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University in 2014.
