Joshua Schwartz is currently a Grand Strategy, Security, and Statecraft Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Harvard Kennedy School. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2022. Josh's research focuses on questions related to reputation, gender, weapons of mass destruction, drones, and coercion. His academic work has been published in International Organization, Journal of Conflict Resolution, International Studies Quarterly, and Conflict Management and Peace Science. Additionally, Josh has written for popular outlets such as Foreign Affairs, the Washington Post, Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, Defense One, and Political Violence at a Glance.
