Lieutenant Colonel Derrick McClain is the United States Air Force’s 2022-2023 MIT Security Studies Program Military Fellow. Before this assignment, he was Commander of the 3d Flying Training Squadron at Vance AFB, Oklahoma. As Commander, he organized, trained, and equipped 303 personnel to include students and instructors flying 38 T-1A aircraft to develop aviators enrolled in United States Air Force Undergraduate Pilot Training.
