An East Asia expert, So Jin Lee is currently completing her PhD at Duke University. Her research interests include international security, positive inducements and sanctions, and economic statecraft, among other topics. Before joining us at MIT, she was a predoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and a Hans J. Morgenthau Fellow at Notre Dame.

Robert Ralston is a Grand Strategy, Security, and Statecraft Fellow jointly appointed at Harvard Kennedy School and here at MIT SSP. (He’s also a Hans J. Morgenthau Fellow at the Notre Dame International Security Center.) His research focuses on domestic politics of great military powers, and the politics of military service. He has had writing featured in The Journal of Global Security Studies, Environmental Communication, and The Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Politics, among other publications.
