SSP Wednesday Seminar March 4th with Brendan Green
Brendan Green

The SSP Wednesday Seminar on March 4th featured Brendan Green, Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Cincinnati, discussing “The Revolution That Failed: Nuclear Competition, Arms Control, and the Cold War.”

This week, we raced back to the Cold War to look at nuclear competition. Faculty, students and staff gathered at noon to listen to Brendan Green (Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Cincinnati) discuss “The Revolution That Failed: Nuclear Competition, Arms Control, and the Cold War.” Green spoke about the various incentives that served as the driving force behind the U.S. government’s actions in the nuclear arms race, as well as how those same forces were playing out in the modern world. A lively Q&A with the audience followed.

The next Wednesday Seminar (to be held on 3/11), features Jonathan Shimshoni, Visiting Fellow and Research Affiliate at SSP. Shimshoni will present: “The Strategic Challenge of Society-centric Warfare.”
